Farewell Luncheon for Ambassador Noel Fahey

The Irish Chamber hosted a members only luncheon in honor of Noel Fahey. Hehas faithfully served as the Ambassador of Ireland to the United Statessince 2002. His next assignment will be as Ambassador of Ireland to the Vatican. Also in attendance was Cardinal Justin Rigali, Archbishop of Philadelphia.

The Irish Chamber, along with the French-American and German-American Chambers of Commerce hosted a presentation, luncheon and networking session at the Union League of Philadelphia with guest of honor Denise Sullivan Morrison, President of Campbell USA at the Campbell Soup Company. A crowd of nearly 200 gathered for this dynamic presenation.

The Plough of the Stars Event
12 March 2007

The IABCN hosted a welcoming reception for the visiting dignitaries of the Mayo County Council and the Donegal County Council of Ireland on Monday March 12th.  The reception took place Monday night at the Plough and Stars Restaurant in Philadelphia.  It was a beautiful night, and the chamber welcomed many walk-ins to the reception in addition to the many members already scheduled to attend.  By the end of the evening the reception had seen a great turn out. The Chamber would like to specially thank the Plough and Stars for their continued support of Irish Events and the Irish Arts.

Saint Patrick's Day Parade
11 March 2007

On Sunday March 11th, members of the IABCN came out to participate in the Philadelphia St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Members of the chamber spent the afternoon riding in the trolley or marching along side handing out candy to parade goers.  Board members in attendance were Jerry Buckley, JM Hasson and family, Jim Logue and family, Jim McLaughlin and board president Bill McLaughlin.  The chamber would like to give a special thanks to its sponsors, Continental Airlines and the Plough and Stars Restaurant.
